Vivo Watch 2 LEAKS! This is how it looks
The Vivo Watch 2 has leaked online ahead of its official reveal in China. The Watch 2 retains the circular dial but could get other upgrades in key areas.
Vivo Watch 2 leaks! Ahead of the company's official launch in China, the Watch 2 has been spotted listed accidentally on the Vivo Sports Health app, which is essentially the companion app for the current Vivo wearable devices. The design looks similar to the older model but there seem to be a few differences noticeable.
For starters, the Vivo Watch 2 seems to have ditched the chunky bezels in favour of slimmer ones. The shape of the watch's body also seems different and as usual, there's a new watch face that enhances the bezel-less design of the watch. Nothing else is revealed by the app for now. The leak comes via a report from ITHome.
Vivo Watch 2 leaks ahead of launch
The Vivo Watch 2 has previously passed certification sites, revealing a couple of other details that users can expect from this smartwatch. This smartwatch is going to feature an OLED display with a higher screen-to-body ratio, although the exact dimensions are unknown.
A 501mAh battery is expected to power the watch and unlike the last model, this one is going to feature support for eSIM connectivity. In fact, the Vivo Watch 2 is said to feature triple SIM card support. Obviously, you cannot slot in physical SIM cards; these will all be eSIMs.
Note that those eSIM slots will only support 4G LTE connections, not the more hyped up 5G connectivity. Additionally, there will Bluetooth onboard. A voice assistant is also said to be present on the Vivo Watch 2.
What remains to be seen is whether Vivo launches this one in global markets, including India. Unlike its BBK cousins, Vivo has mostly stuck to smartphones in India. It launched the TWS Neo last year but there hasn't been a follow up to that lately. With a growing market for smartwatches and wearables in India, it seems Vivo may eventually bring it to global markets.
