Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Band 5 fitness band in India soon. The product is expected to launch on September 29 as a part of Xiaomi's ‘Smart Living' event. Although the company has announced the event date and time, it has not revealed what it will launch. However, the landing page on Amazon does confirm the arrival of Mi Band 5. Some of the features mentioned on the page are Beautiful Bigger Brighter Display, Start Charging in a Snap, Battery that Challenges you, Your Own Personal Health Assistant, All New Yoga + 4 Sports Mode.

The new fitness band was launched by Xiaomi back in June this year. While the variant in China has the NFC version, the one launched globally missed out on it.

The band has a larger screen as compared to Mi Band 4. There's a 1.2-inch display, which is 20% larger than Band 4's 0.95-inch. Adding to it are more than 100 new watch faces including characters from different series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Case Closed and more. One of the highlights in the Mi Band 5 is the magnetic charging dock that hooks to the device automatically. This eliminates the task of taking out the tracker from the strap and separately placing it on the charging cradle.

Adding to all these are the dual tone Mi Band 5 straps that wrap the tracker, giving an illusion that the entire device is a single unit and nothing is detachable. Furthermore, you get an improved processor for better tracking and processing, 11 fitness tracking modes, menstrual cycle tracking, PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) score and REM sleep tracking besides light and deep sleep.

The Mi band 5 includes a barometer to measure the atmospheric pressure. One can even use the device as a shutter button for clicking images through the connected smartphone.
