From the looks of it, the device will likely carry the same fabric-based design in order to match the looks of Nest Mini and Google Home Max.
E-commerce firm Walmart may have jumped the gun here as it revealed Google's upcoming smart speaker called Nest Audio. The retail box, showing the speaker and confirming the name. All this was shown in an image posted by a Twitter user Marcos Frausto. In the post, the user mentioned ‘Looks like Walmart jumped the gun on the unreleased speaker from Google.' The one shown in the image is the Charcoal colour version. It has a typical White-coloured box like what you get for other Google devices, along with some apps and services supported by it written on the sides. The ones mentioned are Google Maps, Spotify, Google Calendar, Philips Hue products and more.
The device has a cylindrical shape and is a bit tall. There are four notification LEDs at the centre as well.
Although we have already seen this device before when Google shared it via 9to5Google website, this time we have a clear picture of its retail box. From the previously shared image and the one posted on Twitter, it is safe to assume that there are at least two colour models of the speaker this time – Charcoal and Blue. Reports suggest it to come in Pink as well.
From the looks of it, the device will likely carry the same fabric-based design in order to match the looks of Nest Mini and Google Home Max. As per the reports, Google's upcoming Nest Audio is supposed to feature stereo pairing as well.
Reports from Winfuture and 9to5Google also indicate the product to feature one port for the power output. There's also a switch at the back to turn off the microphone. The ‘G' logo is embossed at the back of the smart speaker.
This, along side the rumoured Chromecast with Google TV is expected to launch on September 30 for now.
