Asus ROG Phone 3 gets certified by EEC
The Asus ROG Phone 3 is expected to launch in July.
Asus is planning to launch its next generation gaming smartphone, the Asus ROG Phone 3, soon. If reports are to be believed the company could launch the ROG Phone 3 as soon as in July. Now, a new report gives us more details about the upcoming ROG Phone 3.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 has been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) (via GSM Arena). The phone, as per the details available on EEC, comes with the model number ZS661KS, which is quite similar to the model number ZS600KL, which pertains to the ROG Phone, and ZS660KL, which pertains to the ROG Phone 2.
In addition to the EEC, the phone has also been spotted on the TUV Rheinland, which indicates that the ROG Phone 3 will come with 30W fast charging support, MySmartPrice reported. Beyond that, the two listings do not reveal anything about the upcoming ROG Phone 3. However, reports in the past have hinted the ROG Phone 2 successor would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and run on Android 10. In addition to that, Geekbench listing of the phone has revealed that the ROG Phone 3 will be available in two RAM variants -- one with 8GB of RAM and the other with 12GB of RAM.
We also know that the ROG Phone 3 will also come with a plugin for Unity's Engine that will support five features of the ROG Phone II, as well as the ROG Phone III. This means the developers will be able to take full advantage of ROG Phone 3's hardware capabilities and optimise their games accordingly.
