Asus ROG Phone 6 could beat gaming laptops with this feature! Check out this leak
Asus ROG Phone 6 will be coming soon and it could have a feature to excite gamers the most. Based on the latest leak, it seems that the ROG Phone 6 will get a display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. And this won’t be an LCD display – this will be a high refresh rate OLED panel. The phone will also use the faster Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The phone will succeed the ROG Phone 5s, which was launched in India earlier this year as Asus’ latest launch on the ROG series.
The ROG Phone 6, according to the information shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. This means that the phone is unlikely to drop its thick bezels on the top and bottom, and could also retain the similar form factor. This display will be a mega upgrade over the previous ROG Phone 5s’ 6.7-inch display that only offer a refresh rate of 144Hz. Most mobile games don’t support 144Hz refresh rate and with the 165Hz display, it remains to be seen whether we could see any changes.
Asus ROG Phone 6 details leaked
Along with the display, the ROG Phone 6 will get the faster Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is no surprise considering the ROG Phone series is all about offering the maximum specs. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is essentially a boosted version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, promising better power efficiency and slightly boosted performance. Hence, users should see better battery life on the ROG Phone 6 over the ROG Phone 5.
The leak also says that the phone will come with up to 18GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The phone will also launch with Android 12 out of the box. The phone is said to have a similar 64MP led triple camera setup, the primary camera having the OIS feature. You can also expect to see Asus’ Advanced Gaming Triggers that could offer a much better experience. The phone can come with a 6000mAh battery that could use the same 65W fast wired charging solution.
While these are the specs of the ROG Phone 6, Asus is also said to be working on a ROG Phone 6 Pro. No idea on what the Pro version will offer but Asus could use its dual screen tricks that we have seen on some ROG laptops.
