However, one of the users did an ultimate iPhone drop test recently by dropping it from 2,000 feet. We are not talking about the latest iPhone 12, but the rather old iPhone 6s. According to a report by G1 (via 9to5 Mac) Galiotto was flying over a beach located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. And while he was holding his iPhone 6s to capture images and videos through a small window of the plane, a gust of wind tore it away from his hand and the iPhone dropped from 2,000 feet, recording everything in between. Also read: Here's when the Apple iPhone 13 is going to launch Although the footage is hazy and nothing can be made out in the recording, what was interesting was to see that the iPhone did actually survive. Once Galiotto reached the ground, he decided to use the Find My app to search for the missing iPhone. See the entire video here. And he was in fact able to locate it in the middle of the beach. When he reached the location, he saw that the iPhone was dropped with screen facing the ground. However, neither the back panel nor the screen was shattered and the five-year-old iPhone did work fine. This is not the first time we are hearing such iPhone stories. Previous reports have shown iPhones survive drowning in rivers and working just fine after days and months of staying under water. In one of the cases, an iPhone saved a user from a bullet as well.
