The Flipkart Big Billion Days sale will oversee a couple of new smartphone launches along with major discounts on existing models. Along with Samsung and Realme, Flipkart sale lists Poco as one of the brands planning to launch a new smartphone. The listing currently states a “big bang launch” and Poco is yet to reveal the name on its social media channels.

The company had recently launched the Poco F3 GT in India as its first gaming smartphone. With no plans of launching the more affordable X3 GT in India, it seems that the company has planned a brand new product launch for the country. With no new products in the affordable smartphone space in the sub- 10,000 bracket, it seems we could be seeing a budget Poco device soon.

New Poco smartphone launching soon

The Poco C3 is currently the oldest model in the company's lineup that is yet to receive a revamp. It was launched last year to cater to consumers looking for a phone for less than 7,000. The phone was essentially a Redmi 9 series device underneath and came pre-installed with a Poco launcher on the top.

Since Poco usually prefers renaming existing Redmi smartphones, there is a possibility of this phone loosely based on the recently launched Redmi 10 Prime. The Redmi 10 Prime is a 4G-only budget phone that starts at a price of 12,499 for the base version. Some of the highlights on this phone include a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate technology, a 50-megapixel quad camera setup, a 6000mAh battery with support for 18W charging and 9W reverse charging, a stereo speaker setup, and a Mediatek Helio G88 chip underneath.

Could Poco be rebranding the Redmi 10 Prime as one of its C series devices, or add to the M series? The company already has the Poco M3 starting at 11,000 and the 5G-enabled Poco M3 Pro starting at 13,999.

While we are left guessing about this mysterious Poco smartphone, Flipkart has revealed the discount on the Poco X3 Pro in the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale. The Snapdragon860-toting Poco X3 Pro will enjoy a discount of 2,000, thereby bringing down the starting price to 16,999. The X3 Pro is the most affordable phone in the country using a Snapdragon 800 series chip at the moment.
