Huawei is gearing for its next big smartphone launch. The company will soon release the Huawei P50 series. So far, little is known about the smartphone series except for an alleged render that leaked last week. Now, a new leak gives more clue about the upcoming flagship series.

According to RODENT950 (via Gizchina), Huawei P50 series will feature at least three handsets, akin to Samsung's Galaxy S series. The base model will have a 6.1-inch to 6.2-inch screen size. The mid and top-end variants are said to come with 6.6-inch and 6.8-inch screen sizes, respectively. According to the report, the base model will be called the Huawei P50. The other two variants could be Huawei P50 Plus and Huawei P50 Pro.

Interestingly, the last leak had said P50 Pro would come with a 6.6-inch display that “that fits in a chassis that is approximately 159mm high and 73mm wide.” The leaked render revealed the phone would come with a single front-facing camera in a punch-hole cutout, instead of a dual-camera setup as seen on the predecessor.

Other reports have said Huawei's new flagships will use displays from Samsung. It is also rumoured to come with an in-house Kirin 9000 processor.

A November report had said Huawei might use liquid lens technology on the new flagship series. The technology is said to deliver a fast-focusing speed and can achieve millisecond-level focus like a human eye. The film formation rate is said to be about 100%.
