The big Apple event is scheduled for later today and it is believed that the iPhone 14 series will finally be launched during the event. The Apple Far Out event on September 7 has been touted to not only bring forth the iPhone 14 lineup but also Apple Watch Series 8 and AirPods Pro 2. Some other gadgets might also show up, if Apple decides to surprise us. However, the highlight of the night will be the next generation of Apple smartphones. So far, we know quite a bit about the smartphones due to the leaks, including their USA prices. But with hours remaining for the official launch, let us take a look at the expected iPhone 14 price in India. .

The iPhone 14 lineup is likely to include the base model of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max with a larger display of 6.7-inch (or it could be called iPhone 14 Plus) in the non-Pro models. The Pro models include the usual iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone Mini has been killed off in favor of iPhone 14 Max as Apple anticipates a higher demand for smartphones with bigger displays.

According to multiple tipsters including Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, this year the base model iPhone 14 can be kept at a starting price of $799, consistent with the iPhone 13 launch price. The iPhone 14 Max might start at $899, with a jump of hundred dollars. Coming to the Pro models, a $100 hike is expected over the iPhone 13 Pro launch prices and the iPhone 14 Pro can start at $1,099 whereas the iPhone 14 Pro Max can be available to buy starting at $1,199.

Another leak has tipped that the non-Pro iPhone 14 models might see a price drop of $50 from the iPhone 13 launch prices. If that happens, the iPhone 14 can start at $749 and the iPhone 14 Max/Plus can start at $849. The same report also mentioned that the price hike for the Pro-models can be by $50 and this puts the iPhone 14 Pro at $1,049 starting price and brings down the iPhone 14 Pro Max price to $1,149.

But while there is a lot of speculation about the global prices, there is hardly any talk about the India price of the smartphones. An easier way to estimate the price would be to do an exchange rate substitution, however, that would not be accurate as GST and other taxes often inflate the prices of the Apple smartphones in India. Last year, the iPhone 13 was priced starting at $799, which is around Rs. 60,000. However, the original launch price of the smartphone was kept at Rs. 79,990 dye to various taxes and levies. It is expected that the iPhone 14 price in India will also be in the same bracket and can cost about Rs. 80,000. Similarly, the iPhone 14 Max can start at Rs. 90,000. With the slight hike, the iPhone 14 Pro can jump to Rs. 1,30,000 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max can be in the region of Rs. 1,50,000. This would be just below what the top Samsung foldable phone costs.
