Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max specification (expected)

A Korean website The Elec reported that the iPhone 14 Pro series will come with a punch-hole display for the first time. A hole punch design is basically a small circular cut out on the top of the device for the selfie camera. The design is already used by a number of Android smartphone manufacturers and can be seen on most Android devices, ranging from the high-end Galaxy S21 Ultra to the more affordable phones such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and Motorola Moto E40. However, this will be the first time when Apple too will use this design for its upcoming flagship smartphone. Any official statement regarding this feature is yet to be made.

The report also suggests that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are likely to come with a 6.06-inch display and a 6.07-inch display respectively. Moreover, it is also being speculated that Apple will bring in all-new Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) Thin-Film Transistors (TFT) combined with OLED panels in both the Pro models. The OLED panels have already been introduced in iPhone 13 models. This will allow the device to have a 120Hz variable refresh rate.

Separately, reports have also hinted that the iPhone 14 series would feature an under-display fingerprint sensor that would enable Touch ID functionality in the next iPhone models.

However, all these statements are just speculations as there are no official statements regarding this matter. It is too early to claim anything. All these reports can be confirmed only after the official statement from Apple.
