Reliance Jio, at Reliance Industries' 44th Annual General Meeting, had announced its first smartphone called the JioPhone Next. At the time, Reliance Jio had announced that the JioPhone Next had been developed in partnership with Google. Apart from this, Reliance Jio had also announced that the JioPhone Next will hit the stores on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, that is, September 10. However, the company missed the September 10 deadline owing to the ongoing global chip shortage. At the time, it had said that the JioPhone Next will arrive in the market during the festive season near Diwali. Now, ahead of the official launch of the JioPhone Next, Reliance Jio has released a short film that is aimed at helping users understand the vision behind introducing this smartphone.

The short film titled ‘Making of the JioPhone Next' film provides an insight into vision and idea behind launching the JioPhone Next. Reliance Jio said that the “JioPhone Next is Made in India, Made for India and Made by Indians” adding that the “JioPhone Next will ensure that every Indian gets an equal opportunity and equal access to digital technology.” The video talks about how the JioPhone Next is set to change the lives of millions of Indians.
