JioPhone Next price in India: Reliance, back at the company's 44th Annual General Meeting or AGM, had announced its next phone. At the time, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani had said that the upcoming smartphone dubbed as the JioPhone Next had been developed in partnership with Google and that it would go on sale in India on September 10. Reliance Jio, however, had not shared the Jio Phone Next price or the key specifications of the upcoming smartphone. JioPhone Next is being already hailed as the cheapest, or most affordable, smartphone. Now, a new report sheds some light on JioPhone Next price. JioPhone next booking may start in just a few days.

Reliance Jio has partnered with five banks to provide effective financing options for the interested buyers, says Economic Times. Reliance Jio is aiming to sell five crore units of its upcoming JioPhone Next in the coming six months and as a part of the partnership State Bank of India (SBI), Piramal Capital, IDFC First Assure and DMI Finance have each reportedly assured business worth 10,000 crore each. Besides these, four Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) have also assured 2,500 crore worth of credit support on the purchase of the JioPhone Next smartphone to the company.

JioPhone Next Price in India

Furthermore, the report says that the JioPhone Next will be available in India in two variants. JioPhone Next price for the basic variant is likely under 5,000. As far as the advance variant of JioPhone Next is concerned, then it will be priced at 7,000. To make purchasing the JioPhone Next easier for the users, Reliance Jio will reportedly offer a scheme wherein the interested customers will have to pay just 10% of the cost of their preferred variant upfront while lenders could finance the remaining amount. It is not clear yet, but JioPhone next-booking is likely to start within a week or so at the most.

JioPhone Next expected specs and features

While neither Reliance Jio nor Google have shared the specifications of the upcoming JioPhone Next smartphone, both the companies have said that the phone will run on a highly customised version of Google's Android OS. Besides this, reports have tipped that the JioPhone Next will get a 5.5-inch display. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's 215 processor that is coupled with 2GB of RAM. On the camera front, the JioPhone Next is likely to come with a 13MP rear camera and 2MP selfie camera. It is likely to be backed by a 2,500mAh battery.
