JioPhone Next price, offers and more; get it for 1,999, EMI at just 300

JioPhone Next price, offers and more: Reliance Jio last month announced that the JioPhone Next, which has been created in collaboration with Google, will arrive around Diwali. However, the company hadn't provided an exact launch date at the time. Today, Reliance Jio officially announced that the JioPhone Next will go on sale in India on Diwali, that is November 4.

“The JioPhone Next is an affordable smartphone designed for India, inspired by the belief that everyone in India should benefit from the opportunities the internet creates,” Alphabet Inc CEO Sundar Pichai said on the occasion.

“Among the many rich features of JioPhone Next, the one that has impressed me the most — and one that will empower common Indians the most and take their digital journeys to the next level — is its contribution to India's linguistic integration...Those Indians who might not be able to read content in English or in their language can get it translated, and even read out, in their own language on this smart device,” Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said on the occasion.

JioPhone Next price and offers

The newly introduced JioPhone Next price has been fixed at INR 6,499 in India. In order to make it accessible to people in India, Reliance Jio has announced a bunch of new offers that make it easier for users to get their hands on the device. Reliance Jio said that the JioPhone will be available in India with an entry price of only INR 1,999 and the rest paid via easy EMI spread over up to 24 months.

Reliance Jio is offering four sets of EMI plans to interested buyers. Here are the details:

Always-on plan: Interested buyers can opt to pay 300 per month for 24 months or 350 per month for 18 months. Buyers will get 5GB of data along with 100 minutes per month with this plan.

Large plan: Interested buyers can opt to pay 450 per month for 24 months or 500 per month for 18 months. Buyers will get 1.5GB of data per day along with unlimited voice calls with this plan.

XL plan: Interested buyers can opt to pay 500 per month for 24 months or 550 per month for 18 months. Buyers will get 2GB of data per day along with unlimited voice calls with this plan.

XXL plan: Interested buyers can opt to pay 550 per month for 24 months or 600 per month for 18 months. Buyers will get 2.5GB of data per day along with unlimited voice calls with this plan.

JioPhone Next specs

As far as the specifications are concerned, the JioPhone Next comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720x1440 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and anti-fingerprint coating. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm QM-215 processor that is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage that can be expanded further using a microSD card of up to 512GB space. It runs on Android OS-based Pragati OS.

Coming to the camera, the JioPhone Next sports a single 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP camera in the front. On the battery front, the JioPhone Next comes with a 3,500mAh battery. Additional features include a dual SIM card slot, Bluetooth 4.1 and a 3.5mm jack.
