Nokia XR20 has been launched in India on Monday, bringing a new rugged phone to Nokia's smartphone portfolio. The smartphone comes with 5G connectivity, while promising three Android OS updates and four years of security updates – Nokia is touting this as a device that will be up to date when 2025 arrives, on its website. The Nokia XR20 is powered by a Snapdragon 480 SoC and comes with a dual-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultrawide camera. Nokia XR20 price, colours and availability

The Nokia XR20 price is ₹46,999 and the smartphone will be sold in a single RAM and storage variant – 6GB RAM with 128GB of storage, unlike Europe where Nokia has launched a variant offering 4GB of RAM and half as much storage. The company will sell the new device in two colours, Ultra Blue and Granite, and the smartphone will be available for sale on October 30, according to Nokia.

As part of a special launch offer, the company is offering free Nokia Power Earbuds Lite or one year of screen protection along with the Nokia XR20, if it is pre-booked by customers. Customers will be able to buy the smartphone on both online (e-commerce sites and Nokia's official website) and offline channels including retail stores.

Nokia XR20 specifications and cameras

The Nokia XR20 comes with a 20:9 FHD+ display measuring 6.67 inches that boasts Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC and is powered by a 4,630mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The device will have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in India, and supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity along with Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. On the side of the device is a fingerprint sensor as well as a built-in hole for lanyards and other accessories. Nokia also says the XR20 smartphone comes with the MIL-STD-810H with an IP68 rating and drop protection of up to 1.8 metres.

On the camera front, the Nokia XR20 features a 48MP camera with Zeiss optics paired with a 13MP ultrawide camera that offers a 123-degree field of view. The device also supports a SpeedWarp mode to capture images and footage, along with an Action Cam mode that can help users record videos in a stable manner. Other camera modes on the device include a Night mode, Cinema mode, HDR, among others. Video recording is also expected to be improved on the Nokia XR20 thanks to OZO spatial audio recording support and wind noise reduction, according to the company.
