Xiaomi is set to launch its latest flagship series Mi 11 on December 28. Ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has begun posting teasers and promos to build the hype around the flagship phones. The latest teaser focuses on a new upcoming feature – video Night Mode.

Posted on Weibo, Xiaomi's new teaser shows a clip of a music box in the dark. Supposedly shot by Mi 11, the clip goes on to show improved low-light video recording capabilities, most likely through the video Night Mode. According to GSMArena, the feature is possible through advanced computational photography.

It is worth noting that Night Mode is quite common on modern smartphones. However, these modes mostly focus on delivering improved low-light still shots. Dedicated video Night Mode is still a rarity.

That said, Xiaomi's Mi 11 series is going to come with top-of-the-line specifications and features. Already, it is confirmed to sport Qualcomm's top-end and 2021 flagship chip, Snapdragon 888. The series will feature Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro with the latter being a more premium model.

According to reports, Mi 11 Pro will come with a 2K display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. In the camera department, it is going to come with a 108-megapixel primary sensor on the back. It is also said to come with up to 12GB of RAM and run MIUI-based Android 11 out-of-the-box. Xiaomi is also rumoured to offer a 55W charger with the Mi 11 Pro.

As far as the Mi 11 goes, it will offer a smaller 4,780mAh battery, Quad HD+ display. The phone is also rumoured to offer a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

We are likely to find out more about Xiaomi's Mi 11 series in coming days through leaks and official teasers. Until then, stay tuned.
