Micromax is gearing up for a big comeback to the Indian smartphone market. Already, the company has confirmed it will release a new ‘In' series phones in the country. Ahead of the official launch on November 3, Micromax has begun posting teasers of the upcoming smartphone series. The latest teaser gives a glimpse of the In series phone.

“India's style makes heads turn. We've designed our new smartphones to do just that,” said Micromax in a tweet that accompanies a small preview of the phone. Based on the brief glimpse, Micromax's In phone is seen with a full-screen display and tapered edges.

The teaser comes after Micromax announced that its upcoming In series phones would run on MediaTek Helio G Series with MediaTek HyperEngine game technology. Micromax R&D Centre at Bengaluru will start the design and development of Smartphones as a part of their ‘Make-in-India' initiatives with their new ‘in' range of smartphones, the company added.

According to reports, Micromax's G35 chip-powered handset will come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display. It will be available in two versions – 2GB RAM with 32GB built-in storage and 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage. A 5,000mAh battery will power the phone.

On the software front, the smartphone will offer stock Android out-of-the-box. In the camera department, the 2GB model will have as many as two cameras on the back. The setup will consist of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

That said, there is a lot of buzz around Micromax's comeback. The Indian smartphone company once dominated the Indian market and even narrowed gap with then market leader Samsung. Micromax, however, failed to compete with the influx of Chinese handset brands which offered high-specced phones at lower price points.

“I wasn't defeated then but I was content with everything that I had achieved,” said Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma in a video message earlier this month.

“But what happened at the border wasn't right. So, when our Prime Minister gave the clarion call for an Atmanirbhar Bharat, we decided to respond to that...And so Micromax India is coming back with a new smartphone called ‘In,” he added.
