Motorola fan? 3 new Edge series smartphones may launch soon; take a sneak peek at Berlin, Kyoto and Pstar specs

Motorola is planning to launch three new smartphones – the Motorola Edge Berlin, the Motorola Edge Kyoto and the Motorola Edge Pstar.

Those who swear by Motorola smartphones may well have some good news to hear. After launching the Moto Edge and the Moto Edge+ smartphones last year, it looks like Motorola is not done with its Edge series smartphones yet. Word on the street is that Motorola is planning to launch not just one or two but actually, three Edge series smartphones in the coming months.

These three smartphones go by the codename -- the Motorola Edge Berlin, the Motorola Edge Kyoto and the Motorola Edge Pstar. According to the German website Techniknews, the Moto Edge Berlin will be the top variant among these upcoming Motorola smartphones and it will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G processor. This phone will be available in two variants -- the regular variant that will presumably be available globally and a ‘NA' variant that will be available exclusively in North America.

The publication has also shared the key specifications of Motorola's upcoming smartphones. Here's what we know about Motorola next-generation Edge smartphones:

Motorola Edge Berlin specs

Both the versions of the Motorola Edge Berlin are tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. They are expected to come in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants that are coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of storage space. Both the regular and the NA variants are tipped to get a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The difference between the regular and the NA variants lies in case of the rear-camera module. While the regular variant is likely to feature 108MP primary sensor+16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor+8MP telephoto sensor, the NA variant is tipped to get 108MP primary sensor+8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor+2MP depth sensor. It is expected to be available in Green, Brown and White colour variants. There is no word on the display or battery of the Motorola Edge Berlin yet.

Motorola Edge Kyoto specs

The Motorola Edge Kyoto will be the cheapest smartphone in the upcoming series. Details about this smartphone remain scarce at the moment. The report says that the Motorola Edge Kyoto is likely to come with a 108MP + 8MP + 2MP rear camera setup and a 32MP front camera setup.

Motorola Edge Pstar specs

Coming to the Motorola Edge Pstar, it is expected to be powered by either the Snapdragon 865 or the Snapdragon 870 chipset. It is tipped to be available in 6GB or 8GB or 12GB RAM variants and 128GB or 256GB storage variants. On the camera front, the Motorola Edge Star is tipped to come with a 16MP selfie camera and 108MP primary sensor+16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor+8MP telephoto sensor rear-camera setup. It is likely to be available in Black, Blue and White colour variants. There's no word on display and battery specifications yet.
