The latest to make an announcement is the old and iconic Motorola. Now in Chinese hands, Motorola has taken to Twitter to tease the expected launch of its latest Edge 20 series smartphones in India. The smartphone series falls in the mid-range category. Notably, the new flagship series, the Edge 20, was announced just last week and already the India plans have been set in motion. Motorola has been teasing the flagship lineup via its official Twitter and Instagram accounts and is using the hashtag #FindYourEdge to highlight the handset. There are as many as three new smartphones in the lineup, the Edge 20, Edge 20 Lite and the Edge 20 Pro. The series has already been launched in some countries in Europe. All three phones will run the latest version of Android 11. However, they will get Android 12 update when it comes out. A significant aspect of the series is the presence of 108-megapixel primary cameras on the back of each mobile variant and a 32-megapixel selfie camera. All three will support 30W charging speeds. They will come in new colours including a dark gradient blue, a lighter greenish-blue gradient, and an extremely light green variant. These colours are supposed to resemble the magnificent Aurora Borealis lights. Also read: Looking for a smartphone? Check Mobile Finder here. Also read click here. > This is your calling. Expectedly, the Edge 20 mobile will have a bit better performing Snapdragon 778G processor and a 144 Hz refresh rate display on the same screen. However, it will be powered by a slightly smaller 4500 mAh battery. Furthermore, it has support for HDR10+, and an optical display fingerprint scanner. It offers 8 gigabytes of RAM and an option of internal storage of 128 and 256 gigabytes. Finally, the highest-end model of the series, the Edge 20 Pro will have a significant increase in terms of processing with the Snapdragon 870 chipset, and the same display as the Edge 20 with the 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen and a 144 Hz refresh rate. The battery remains small though, at just 4500 mAh. The flagship series is expected to launch sometime soon, although Motorola has not yet announced an official launch date for the devices.
