Realme's rumoured smartphone codenamed Realme Race, has been making headlines since quite some time. It is said to be the company's first handset ever to feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
Although this handset series is said to be a completely new one, the company's India and Europe CEO, Madhav Sheth has teased the continuation of a different smartphone series that will be running parallel to the ‘Race' line of devices.

Since the Realme X series is different from the Realme ‘Race', it might also come with a different set of CPUs. Last year, the Realme X7 series was powered by MediaTek chipsets and the upcoming X9 is said to take advantage of the latest chips made by the Taiwanese maker.
It's worth mentioning that MediaTek has already scheduled an event for January 20 wherein it is expected to unveil the new Dimensity processors. We can expect the same coming in the aforementioned teased Realme X series smartphones as well.
Meanwhile, Realme has just launched its 4GB+64GB variant of the budget Realme C12 in India. The variant is priced at ₹9,999 and will be available for purchase starting today on realme.com and Flipkart. The mainline stores will have the devices from January 20. The latest version joins Realme's 3GB+32GB model of the C12, which is priced at ₹8,999.
Some key specs include 6.5-inch HD+ display, 6,000mAh battery, 13-megapixel+ 2-megapixel macro sensor+ 2-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
