Next-generation Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Watch 4 series launch date revealed?

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 are expected to go on sale in the market on August 27, while Galaxy Watch Active 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 are expected to go on sale on August 11.

Samsung is back in the news regarding its top-of-the-line smartphones that have been in the works for a while now. The company has been working on its next-generation foldable display smartphones and expectations are high about what these devices would be capable of. They were expected to arrive in the second half of the year. Now, reports are saying that the launch event's date has been revealed. As per reports, Samsung will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 3 during which it will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable display smartphones. However, do know that nothing official has been said.

The news comes courtesy of tipster Max Weibach who 'revealed' the details in a post on Twitter. In his tweet, the tipster also said that Samsung will also be launching two new wearables, which includes the Galaxy Watch 4 series and Galaxy Watch Active 4 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event in August this year.

A separate report by tipster Jon Prosser hints towards a similar launch date. However, he says that Samsung's smartwatches are expected to hit the shelves a little later than the launch date. According to Prosser, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in 42mm and 46mm variants. The Galaxy Watch Active 4, on the other hand, will be available in 40mm and 44mm variants. Both these smartwatches will go on sale in the market on August 11, 2021, which is a little later than their launch date.

In a separate post, Prosser says that Samsung's two foldable display smartphones, that is, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, will go on sale in the market on August 27, 2021. Simply said, Samsung's foldable devices are expected to reach users at least three weeks after their launch date.

Notably, these reports are in line with another report by a Korean publication Yonhap, which in a report last month had said that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable display smartphones would arrive in mid-August this year. In its report, the publication had said that Samsung would also launch the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone alongside its foldable display smartphones. But there is no word on the launch date of the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone by either one of the tipsters.

All said and done, Samsung hasn't said anything about an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event yet. But we will keep an eye out for details.
