Oppo A53s to launch in India on April 27
The Oppo A53s will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset and that it will come with 5G connectivity.
Oppo today announced that it will launch the mid-budget A53s in India next week. The company today announced that the phone will make a debut at 12PM on April 27. The phone will be priced under ₹15,000 and it will be available in India exclusively via Flipkart.
While the company didn't share specifications of its upcoming smartphone, it did say that the Oppo A53s will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chipset and that it will come with 5G connectivity. The image shared by the company indicates that the Oppo A53s will come with a frosted glass finish and that it will come with a vertically-stacked triple rear camera setup at the back. Additionally, the phone is expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
It is worth noting that the Oppo A53s is already available in South Africa. As per the details available on the company's South African website, the phone comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1,600x720 pixel and a screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. At the back, it has a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera. Additionally, it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

That said, the phone launched in South Africa is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 SoC. However, in India, the company has confirmed that the phone will launch with Dimensity 700 SoC. It remains to be seen if Oppo makes any other changes to its upcoming smartphone.
