Oppo has launched a new budget smartphone in India. Oppo's new smartphone is called the Oppo A55 and it competes with the likes of the Redmi Note 10 Lite, Redmi 10 Prime, Vivo Y33s and the Samsung Galaxy A12 in India. The newly launched Oppo A55 sports a punch-hole display and a vertically mounted rear camera setup at the back. It will go on sale in India starting October 3.
Oppo A55 price and offers
The newly launched Oppo A55 has been launched in India in two variants. The base variant of the Oppo A55 smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space and it is priced at ₹15,490. The top variant of the Oppo A55 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space and it is priced at ₹17,490. Both these variants are available in Rainbow Blue and Starry Black colour variants.
Talking about availability, while the 4GB + 64GB variant of the Oppo A55 will be available in India during the Amazon Great Indian Festival sale that will start on October 3, the 6GB + 128GB variant of the Oppo A55 will be available in India starting October 11. Both the variants will be available via Amazon, Oppo India E-Store, and mainline retail outlets in the country.
As a part of the launch offer, interested buyers will get an instant discount of ₹3,000 on the purchase of the Oppo A55 smartphone on making the purchase via HDFC Bank cards or EMI transactions on Amazon India. Additionally, Amazon Prime members will get a free screen replacement guarantee that will be valid for the first six months of the purchase.
Oppo A55 specs
As far as the features are concerned, the Oppo A55 comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 89.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Oppo A55 is powered by MediaTek's Helio G35 system-on-chip that is coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage space.
Coming to the battery, the Oppo A55 sports a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP portrait sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The Oppo A55 has a 16MP camera for clicking selfies.
The Oppo A55 runs on Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 and it is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging technology.
