iQOO Neo 6 VS Poco F4: Both phones rely on the Snapdragon 870 chipset.  (HT Tech)

Poco F4 or iQOO Neo 6? Which one should you choose. Lately, the smartphone market under Rs. 30000 has seen two strong offerings from these young brands. iQOO, after launching some of the most tempting smartphones this year, had announced the iQOO Neo 6 last month as its most affordable offering with the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The phone is aimed at gamers seeking a stable gaming experience and an overall decent combo of specifications. We had reviewed and found the iQOO Neo 6 to have a decent set of cameras too. It all seems to tempting.

However, Poco could not sit mum and came up with the Poco F4. This phone seems to be designed solely for taking on the iQOO Neo 6. It has the exact same processor, exact same display, and the theme continues for other specs. Plus, it carries the legendary Poco F badge, which means it is all focused on performance. The phone, is however, the Redmi K40S from China underneath.

Given that we have reviewed both of the smartphones lately, we put both of these against each other.

Both the smartphones have very different designs to flaunt but it is the Poco F4 that feels superior with its glass rear panel. It feels much better built, especially with its fit and finish. It is slightly heavy compared to the iQOO Neo 6. That's not to say the iQOO Neo 6 is poorly built – it looks and feels fine but the phone's plastic unibody design is not as appealing. The fit and finish on it is good though.

Poco F4 vs iQOO Neo 6 Display

Honestly, both these smartphones are equal when it comes to the display specs. Both phones have a 6.67-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and higher touch sample rates. You do not get in-display fingerprint scanner on either of these.

Both the phones are powered by the same Snapdragon 870 chip The Snapdragon 870 is a stable chipset that delivers high on performance without heating up or throttling much. Hence, oif you play a lot of COD Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile at high graphics settings, this can run it all with ease.

Poco F4 vs iQOO Neo 6 Software

Poco uses Xiaomi's MIUI 13 interface based on Android 12 whereas the iQOO neo 6 uses Vivo's FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 12. Both custom Android skins are full of customisation features and pre-loaded apps. We prefer MIUI 13 for its superior interface design, lesser system ads, and an overall better user experience. Both Poco and iQOO promise three years of OS updates.

None of these are camera smartphones but they can do some decent photography when required. In terms of daylight and nighttime photography, the iQOO and Poco are able to match each other. The iQOO Neo 6 pulls off a slight lead with its post processing across all its three cameras. The same can be said for selfies despite having different camera sensors. To most users, the difference won't matter much.

Poco F4 vs iQOO Neo 6 Battery

The iQOO Neo 6 has a bigger 4700mAh battery compared to the 4500mAh battery on the Poco F4. In real life though, both of them offer almost identical battery life under the same kind of workloads. The charging solutions are different but Poco's 67W and iQOO's 80W charger take almost around 40 minutes to fully charge the battery.

Honestly, both the Poco F4 and iQOO Neo 6 are equally good in the real world. Both of them are fast, have good displays, good battery life, and decent cameras. Between these two, it boils down to your choice of the software experience, if price isn't to be considered.

However, price is the key criteria here and the Poco F4 wins here by a mega margin. The Poco F4 is not only more affordable but it also gets a superior glass rear panel, thereby offering better value.
