Poco M4 Pro 5G launches in India as most affordable Dimensity 810-equipped phone
The Poco M4 Pro 5G has launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 14,999, making it the most affordable Dimensity 810 phone in India.
Poco M4 Pro 5G has debuted in India as the most affordable smartphone relying on the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. Based largely on the Redmi Note 11T 5G, the Poco M4 Pro 5G carries a lot of similar specs, including the basic underlying specifications. However, the design is largely different from the Redmi device, bringing back the signature Poco design from last year's Poco M3. The phone comes in three colours: Power Black, Cool Blue, and Poco Yellow.
The Poco M4 Pro 5G will be available on Flipkart in three storage variants. The base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will go on sale for Rs. 14,999. The second variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is coming for Rs. 16,999. The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will be available at a price of Rs. 18,999.

Similar to the Redmi Note 11T 5G, the Poco M4 Pro 5G features a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display can vary between 50Hz, 60Hz, and 90Hz, and also supports DCI-P3 colours. You get the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a IR Blaster as well from the Redmi device. The fingerprint sensor rests on the power button, like previous generation Poco M series devices.
The MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset is present here. However, Poco does not reveal what version of MIUI and Android does the phone run on. The phone gets UFS 2.2 storage for faster read/write speeds. Users can extend RAM capacity up to 11GB. For gamers, the phone retains the dual stereo speaker setup, and a haptic motor for real-time feedback.
For the cameras, Poco is offering the same 50MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There is also a 16MP front camera. Similar to Xiaomi's MIUI phones, the phone comes with Night Mode, Kaleidoscope, Slow motion, Time-lapse video features, among others.
Lastly, the Poco M4 Pro 5G relies on the 5000mAh battery that comes with the same 33W fast charger in the box. Poco says that the phone can charge up to 50 percent in 23 minutes.
