This smartphone just got a massive Android update; big benefits rolled out for users
With Android 12 roll-out just a few weeks away, Poco has finally released an Android 11 update for Poco X3 users in India.
The affordable Poco X3 smartphone was launched last year in India. The smartphone offered mid-range specs at a budget price. The Poco X3 came with a Snapdragon 700 series chipset and a display with a high refresh rate, along with a large battery. Now, with Android 12 launch just around the corner, Poco has rolled out an Android 11 update, which means Poco X3 smartphone users will be able to take advantage of all the new features Google added to the operating system, as well as gain a privacy advantage, after installing the update.
It is worth noting that only the Indian variant of the Poco X3 smartphone is receiving the update as the Poco X3 smartphone (also known as the Poco X3 NFC) received the same update to Android 11 earlier this year in March. The latest update to the new operating system bears the build number V22.214.171.124.RJGINXM and is slowly going out to several users. According to a report by GizChina, the device has not yet received the much-awaited MIUI 12.5 update yet. However, the Android 11 update itself will add some useful features like dynamic media controls, improved notification organisation, temporary permissions, and much more.

Released late last year, the Poco X3 mobile phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor and has a 6,000mAh battery. It also comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ display that refreshes at 120Hz. Meanwhile, the mobile phone has a quad-camera setup that sports a 64MP primary sensor. The device is expected to receive Android 12, as well as MIUI 13, but it is unknown whether the device will receive MIUI 12.5 first, like the international counterpart that has had the update for several weeks now.
With Android 12 merely weeks away, the company is also rumoured to announce MIUI 13, the next version of its Android skin in August. Readers must note that the company has not officially announced anything to this effect. Meanwhile, several devices have not yet received the update to MIUI 12.5, including the Poco X3. Just like the Android 11 update, the international version (or Poco X3 NFC mobile phone) has already received the MIUI 12.5 update that is supposed to be lighter, faster and more efficient than older MIUI versions, adding more privacy-related features for the clipboard and location, and allows users to uninstall several unwanted system apps.
