Realme 8 series to feature Realme UI 2.0, FHD+ Super AMOLED display

New details on the upcoming Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro have been revealed.

Realme 8 series is launching in India on March 24. The new smartphone series will feature Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro. Ahead of the launch, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has revealed new features coming to the Realme 8 series.

According to a tweet by Madhav Sheth, Realme 8 series will be the first to launch with Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box. The new Realme UI version is based on the latest Android 11. Realme 8 series has also been confirmed to feature a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, and an in-display fingerprint support. The smartphones will also come with 50W fast charging support that is claimed to fully charge in less than an hour.

Realme 8 Pro is also confirmed to feature a 108-megapixel camera with an in-sensor zoom technology. The smartphone is touted to offer the best camera from the company. It has been spotted in an icy blue colour with the rear cameras stacked in the top-left corner. Realme 8 Pro will come in black colour as well.

According to leaks, Realme 8 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, while the Realme 8 will come with the Snapdragon 720G processor. Both smartphones are expected to feature displays with high refresh rates, and pack up to 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.

The launch event of Realme 8 series is scheduled for 7:30 pm IST on March 24. The event will be live streamed on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
