Xiaomi's Redmi is going to showcase its new smartphone series in China today. The new series will feature Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X Pro 5G. Hours before the official launch, new details about the Redmi 10X have emerged online.

According to Gizchina (via Digital Chat Station leakster on Weibo), Redmi 10X will come with a Samsung E2 AMOLED display. It's worth noting that Xiaomi's Mi 10 Youth 5G also has the same display.

The report says Redmi 10X will come with a 6.57-inch display with full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,800 pixels). The display won't house a punch-hole module on the front to house the selfie camera. Instead, it will have waterdrop cut-out as seen in some of the last year's mid-range and budget smartphones. The screen is said to come with HDR 10+ support and peak brightness at 600 nits.

Redmi 10X is rumoured to come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB built-in storage. Redmi 10X could also be one of the first phones in the world to support dual 5G SIM.

For performance, Redmi 10X is said to rely on MediaTek's Dimensity 820 processor. The phone will be available in multiple RAM and storage variants. The base model could offer 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. Other models could have 6GB, 128GB, 8GB, 128GB, and 8GB, 256GB combinations.

Other leaked specifications of Redmi 10X include Android 10-based MIUI 11, under-glass fingerprint sensor, and a 4420mAh battery. The phone is likely to come with a quad-rear camera setup.
