Samsung Galaxy M02s budget phone with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

Samsung today launched a new budget smartphone in India. Galaxy M02s is the company's latest offering under the sub- 10,000 segment, and it comes with triple rear cameras, an HD+ display, 5,000mAh battery and more.

Samsung Galaxy M02s starts at 8,999 for the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Galaxy M02s is also available with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and at 9,999. The smartphone has a notched display, and it comes in three colour options of black, blue and red. Galaxy M02s can be purchased on Amazon India, Samsung e-store and retail outlets starting today.

Galaxy M02s features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity V display with a notch on top. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 450 processor. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.

The triple camera setup on the Galaxy M02s features a 13-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel front camera. Some of its camera features include selfie focus and live beauty. The smartphone is fuelled by a massive 5,000mAh battery along with support for 15W fast charging.

Galaxy M02s succeeds the Galaxy M01s that launched in India last July. Samsung has upgraded the budget phone with a bigger display, additional camera sensor, bigger battery, and more storage as well. Galaxy M01s is available for 8,999 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Samsung also sells the Galaxy M01 Core and M01 in India under its budget lineup.
