Samsung’s new mid-range phone ‘Galaxy M31s’ is official. Galaxy M31s comes with a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup. Galaxy M31s also has a punch-hole design which is a first for Samsung’s Galaxy M series.
Galaxy M31s will be available in India first on August 6 via Amazon India, and Samsung’s online store. It will be available in retail stores soon. Galaxy M31s starts at ₹19,499 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage which is priced at ₹21,499.
Galaxy M31s is the first in the series to feature a punch-hole design. It comes in two colour options of ‘Mirage Black’ and ‘Mirage Blue’ with a gradient effect. The smartphone’s rear cameras are stacked in the L-shaped design we’ve been seeing on Samsung phones recently.
In terms of specifications, Galaxy M31s features a 6.5-inch full HD+ sAMOLED display with an Infinity-O cutout and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset which is also used on the Galaxy A50s and A51.
On the software front, Galaxy M31s runs One UI based on Android 10. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and facial recognition as well. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging speed. The fast charger comes with the phone. Samsung says that the phone can charge to 100% in 97 minutes.
Galaxy M31s is the most expensive Galaxy M-series phone launched so far. It’s also pretty close to the Galaxy A-series. Samsung also said that it has no plans of launching a lower variant for the Galaxy M31s.
