Tecno Pova 2 launched (Tecno )

Tecno Mobile has introduced a new smartphone, called Pova 2. The handset will be initially available in the Philippines for PHP 8,000 ( ₹12,300 approximately). There is no word on the availability of the handset in other markets, including India.

Tecno Pova 2 comes with a 6.9-inch HD+ Dot-in display with up to 480 nits of brightness. The handset runs on the MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core 12nm processor with 4/6GB LPDDR4x RAM. It has 64/128GBGB of built-in storage. The device also supports expandable storage up to 256GB via a microSD card.

One of the highlights of the phone is a large 7,000mAh battery. It's supported by an 18W charger. The phone also houses a USB Type-C port. On the software front, it runs on Android 11-based HiOS 7.6.

In the photography department, Tecno Pova 2 comes with a quad-camera setup on the back. It consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.79), 2-megapixel (4cm macro), 2-megapixel (depth), and 2-megapixel (AI Lens). There is also a Quad-LED flash. At the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash.

Other important features of the handset are a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11.ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.

Spark Pro 7

The Pova 2 follows the launch of the Spark 7 Pro. The smartphone is available in India for a starting price of ₹9,999. Tecno's Spark 7 Pro comes in Alps Blue, Spruce Green and Magnet Black colour options.

In terms of specifications, the Spark Pro 7 has a 6.6-inch HD+ Dot in IPS display with HD+ resolution, 89% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. It has a 5,000mAh battery.

Tecno Spark 7 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel triple rear camera. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a dual adjustable flashlight.
