Twitter update adds a useful feature, here’s how to share tweets to your Instagram Stories
This Twitter update for iOS has rolled out a handy new feature that allows users to quickly share tweets to their Instagram Stories like it is being done on WhatsApp and Telegram.
Twitter update has rolled out a feature that will make accessing Instagram stories much easier for you thereby saving you time and effort. Twitter, like other social media platforms, allows users to share content inside the app via tweets, using the retweet and like buttons, as well as sharing posts and links on Direct Messages. Users can also share tweets and other content externally, using the system sharing sheet, to apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. On platforms like Instagram, users are able to share content from apps like Spotify to their stories in a rich and visually appealing manner, and Twitter is now the latest app to support sharing tweets to Instagram stories.
Twitter has now announced that it has added support for sharing tweets to Instagram Stories via the system’s share menu on iOS devices, which means users should be able to quickly tap the share button on any tweet and send it directly to their Instagram Stories. This will come in quite handy for users who share tweets regularly on Instagram.
Here’s how the feature to share tweets to Instagram used to work before and how users can share to Instagram after updating to the latest version.
Old fashioned way of sharing tweets on Instagram
Prior to the Twitter update, users who wanted to share a tweet to their story on Instagram would first have to take a screenshot of the tweet. They would also have to crop the tweet and then share the resulting image to Instagram, then adjust the position of the image on the page. The whole process was quite cumbersome and could take up quite a bit of time.
How to share tweets to Instagram Stories after the latest Twitter update
With the new Twitter update, Twitter users can share tweets to their Instagram stories by tapping the share button on any Tweet, then tapping the Instagram Story button on the share menu. Users who have shared songs from Spotify and Apple Music will find the process quite familiar, and the entire process takes less than 10 seconds, if you do not add any text or customise the story.
Users can download the latest version of the Twitter app from the App Store on their iPhones right away, to take advantage of the new feature, according to Twitter. Android users will probably have to wait until similar functionality is added to the Twitter app on that platform.
