Vivo eyes India’s premium phone segment with X50 series
Vivo X50 series comes 5G support and Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 865 processor. Vivo says the X50 series will be manufactured in India.
Vivo is now aiming at India's premium smartphone. The company on Thursday said it will soon release its premium X-series phones in India. The upcoming X50 series will be manufactured at the company's Greater Noida facility.
“The soon-to-be-launched X-series is a realization of vivo's commitment to premium design elements and innovation. Under the X-series, vivo shall launch a series of premium smartphones - X50 and X50 Pro, which will feature professional-grade camera technologies that will offer a delightful mobile photography experience,” said the company in a release.
Vivo X50 series is expected to debut in India on July 16. Ahead of the official launch, the smartphone series has already been listed on Flipkart. According to reports, Vivo will launch X50 and X50 Pro in India.

Vivo X50 series comes with 5G support via Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chip module. The phones also have Super Wide-Angle and Super Macro modes. Vivo's X50 phones are also among the first to offer a camera technology based on Gimble Camera System.
Vivo X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ are also equipped with a periscope lens which helps achieve up to 60x hybrid zoom. The main camera sensor on X50 Pro Plus features a large a 1/1.3-inch ISOCELL GN1 sensor. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and supports 120Hz display. The phone runs on a 4,130mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging.
