Vivo X50 series to launch in India today: Livestream details, specs and more

Vivo X50 and X50 Pro smartphones with 5G, Snapdragon 765G chipset will launch today in India.

Vivo will launch its X50 smartphone series today in India. The Vivo X50 series was launched in China last month. In India, the company will launch the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro but not the X50 Pro+.

The Vivo X50 series launch in India will be live streamed via the company's YouTube channel. The launch is scheduled to start at 12:00 pm. The smartphones will be available to purchase on Amazon India and Flipkart.

Vivo will also launch its TWS Neo wireless earbuds at the X50 series event. The wireless earbuds are said to offer 4.5 hours of battery life and 22.5 hours with the charging case.

Vivo's X50 series of smartphones come with support for 5G. Vivo X50 is also the first smartphone to launch in India with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset.

In terms of specifications, Vivo X50 features a 6.56-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, and HDR support. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo X50 packs 8GB of RAM with 128GB and 256GB storage variants.

The smartphone has a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 13-megapixel telephoto lens, 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. There's a punch-hole camera up front with a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies. On the software front, it runs Android with Funtouch OS layered on top. Vivo X50 packs a 4,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging speed.

On the Vivo X50 Pro, you get almost the same specs but with a few differences. First is the bumped up HDR 10+ support and second is in the camera department. The 5-megapixel macro lens is replaced by an 8-megapixel macro sensor on the Vivo X50 Pro. It also has a gimbal feature for more stability while shooting videos. The selfie camera is also a better one with a 32-megapixel sensor.

The third difference is in the battery capacity which is slightly higher for the X50 Pro. It has a 4,315mAh battery with the same 33W fast charging speed.
