Vivo will soon roll out its X60 series globally. The smartphone series, comprised of X60 and X60 Pro, had launched in China in December last year. The global versions are likely to come with a different processor. The phone will launch in Malaysia with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC on March 22. The original X60 phones have Samsung's Exynos 1080 processor under the hood.

According to Gizmochina, the X60 and X60 Pro global versions are likely to differ only in the chipset department, and the rest of the specs will remain the same. As far as the Snapdragon 870 chip goes, it is a new chip from Qualcomm. The processor is also coming to a variety of new Android phones. A recent leak said Xiaomi's upcoming M10s would have the chip.

The 7nm Snapdragon 870 chipset also features 5G support. It houses a Qualcomm Kyro 585 CPU prime core with a clock speed of 3.2Ghz, up from Snapdragon 865+'s 3.1Ghz. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 870 5G will deliver improved gameplay with Snapdragon Elite gaming experiences. It also comes with Adreno 650 GPU for graphics.

Vivo earlier this year launched an X60 Pro+. The smartphone features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor. The phone has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary camera, a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor, a 32-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel periscope camera with 60x superzoom. For selfies, Vivo X60 Pro+ comes with a 32-megapixel punch-hole camera. It also has a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. A 4,200mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 55W fast charging.

According to reports, Vivo's X60 series will also come to India sometime this month.
