However, the tipster adds that the device's design itself will be one of the major features. There's no confirmation as to what design is being talked about here and in what way will it be different from today's bar handset designs. The second key feature of the upcoming Black Shark model will be its charging tech. Once again, there's no word on the detail but we think it has more to do with fast charging.
It is worth adding that Realme and Oppo have also been vocal about launching phones with Snapdragon 888 processor. Some of the other OEMs confirmed by Qualcomm itself are ASUS, Lenovo, LG, MEIZU, Motorola, Nubia, Realme, OnePlus, OPPO, Sharp, Vivo and ZTE.
Although Samsung makes its own Exynos processors, some of its flagship phones in the US and other select regions come with Snapdragon chipsets. And it looks like the firm is indeed working on a device with Snapdragon 888. Sporting model number SM-G991U, Samsung Galaxy S21 is listed with a chipset dubbed as “Lahaina”, a codename for Qualcomm's flagship chip Snapdragon 888 on Geekbench benchmarking website.
