Xiaomi Redmi 9, 9A and 9C introduced globally: Price, specs and features
While the 9A is priced at EUR 99 (roughly ₹8,500) for the base model (2GB+32GB), which the 9C starts from EUR 119 (roughly ₹10,200) and Redmi 9 from EUR 149 (roughly ₹12,700).
Xiaomi not only introduced new earbuds, Mi Smart Band 5, scooter and gaming monitor but also launched its Redmi 9 globally. The smartphone, which has already been launched in China came alongside the Redmi 9A and 9C. While the 9A is priced at EUR 99 (roughly ₹8,500) for the base model (2GB+32GB), which the 9C starts from EUR 119 (roughly ₹10,200) and Redmi 9 from EUR 149 (roughly ₹12,700).
Redmi 9
The Redmi 9 comes in three colour options of ‘Carbon Gray', ‘Sunset Purple' and ‘Ocean Green'. It features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a notch on top. Redmi 9 is powered by MediaTek's Helio G80 processor paired with Mali-G52 GPU. There's a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion.
In the photography department, Redmi 9 sports a quad camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there's an 8-megapixel camera up front.
Redmi 9 packs a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging along with Quick Charge 3.0. It has a rear fingerprint sensor along with AI face unlock. Connectivity options on the Redmi 9 include USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC.

Redmi 9A
The Redmi 9A comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a dot drop notch. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 that is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space that can be expanded further using a microSD card. It runs on Android 10 based MIUI 11 and it is backed by a 5000mAh battery. On the camera front, the entry level Redmi 9A comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It also comes with a 3.5mm jack.
Redmi 9C
The Redmi 9C comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a dot drop notch. It is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 chipset that is coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and up to 64GB of storage capacity that can be expanded further using a 512GB microSD card. It runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11 and it comes with a 5,000mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Redmi 9C consists of a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. It has AI face unlock technology for security and it comes with a 3.5mm jack for connectivity.
