Google has finally rolled out the first Android 13 with a bunch of new features including a redesigned Material You with automatic color schemes based on wallpaper, a kill switch that prevents third-party apps from accessing the camera and mic, end-to-end encryption for group conversations and a universal clipboard feature between various devices. "Android 13 comes with new capabilities for your phone and tablet, like extending app color theming to even more apps, language settings that can be set on an app level, improved privacy controls..." said Sameer Samat, VP of Product Management, Android and Google Play. Which Android phones support Android 13?

For now, Android 13 is limited to recent Google Pixel models- Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5A, Pixel 6, Pixel 6A, and Pixel 6 Pro. Handsets from other companies like Samsung Galaxy, Asus, HMD (Nokia phones), iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, Vivo, Xiaomi and more too will get this update soon.

How to download Android 13?

If you're using any of the compatible Google Pixel handset you can get the Android 13 by following these easy steps:

Step 1: Open the settings apps on your Google Pixel phone

Step 2: Head to system and then tap on system update

Step 3: Check for updates and then click on Download and install button in the bottom right. The Android 13 system will start to download and may take up to 20 to 30 minutes to get installed.

Step 4: Once installed your phone will go on reboot mode and it's done! Your device is now running on Android 13.

You can now customize non-Google apps to match your phone's wallpaper theme and colors, to make the home screen more cohesive and stylish.
