Apple Maps now have Covid-19 travel guidance information for 5 Indian airports
Apple Maps is going to display Covid-19 airport travel guidance information directly on airport place cards.
Apple Maps now has important information regarding Covid-19 airport travel guidance for five airports in India. You can access this information directly from your iPhone, iPad or your Mac on the place cards for these airports on Apple Maps and learn about what you need to carry with you when you are headed to the airport like - face masks, health tests/screenings etc. There is also information available about quarantine guidelines.
Apple Maps is using data provided by the Airports Council International (AIC) and has information regarding Covid-19 health measures for more than 300 airports worldwide.
The five airports in India that are covered for information on Apple Maps right now are - Kempegowda International Airport on Bengaluru, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad and Chandigarh Airport.
ACI collects information from all airports through the web-based Health Measures Portal that collects data based on new health-related measures implemented at airports in response to Covid-19.
This is the latest effort from Apple to help users better navigate the pandemic and help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Just earlier this month, Apple Maps began displaying COVID-19 vaccine sites, in addition to testing locations and featuring COVID-19 related information on the place cards of more than 4,400 retailers.
