After a tremendous amount of back and forth, and leaks and speculations, Apple’s Event is scheduled for later today. Apple had announced through a rather cryptic press release - “Time Flies. Please join us for a special Apple Event from Apple Park. Watch it online at apple.com.” This was followed by the time and date - September 15 and 10AM PDT (which converts to 10:30PM IST).

So, what’s Apple expected to launch today?

With all possible guesses and speculations, it is safe to assume that there will be no iPhone 12-related announcements today. Instead, it is possible that Apple is going to announce two new iPads and the new Apple Watch series today.

According to tipster Evan Blass, Apple is going to announce the iPad Air 4th Gen (that comes with the new A14 Bionic chip and USB-C charging port), the iPad 8th Gen (with A12X and Lightning port), Apple Watch Series 6 in two sizes (Bluetooth and LTE versions) and the cheaper Apple Watch SE in two sizes (Bluetooth and LTE versions).

Blass’ predictions have also been echoed by predictions made by both Jon Prosser and Mark Gurman. Prosser and Gurman have said that there will be no iPhone 12 announcements made later today.

Prosser, however, dropped a few renders of the upcoming Apple AirTags and hinted that they might be announced at the Time Flies event.

He also tweeted about the Apple AirPods Studio, Apple's new U1 chip and UWB (Ultra Wideband) that's supposed to come to all future Apple products. We will just have to wait and watch if these two are announced today.

There might also be some announcements about the smaller Apple HomePod and Apple’s new bundled subscription service - Apple One. While Apple One, a subscription bundle that includes services like Apple Music, Apple News and Apple TV+, might be announced along with release dates, the new Apple HomePod might just be an announcement.

Either way, iPhone 12-hopefuls will have to wait for the October event. For those hoping to watch the event today, log in on apple.com at 10AM PDT for a live stream.
