Apple September 15 event: iPad, Watch SE, Series 6 and more expected
Experts say that this event will be different from the typical iPhone launch event that Apple usually has in September and that we may not even see an iPhone this time.
We are just a few days away from Apple's September 15 ‘Time Flies' event. However, we aren't completely in the dark though. There have been enough rumours and leaks hinting what's there to come. Experts say that this event will be different from the typical iPhone launch event that Apple usually has in September every year and that we may not even see an iPhone this time. So, what are we expecting? Here's are a few assumptions.
An ‘affordable' Apple Watch
Yes, this is one of the most heavily rumoured products that is said to launch on September 15. This will also mark the company's first year when the Watch series will be bifurcated into two price segments. This ‘affordable' watch is said to carry Watch 4's design and will be missing out on some features like ECG or Always-On display as per tipsters.
Apple Watch Series 6
Watch Series 6 will be the premium version that Apple is said to launch on September 15. Not much is known about the product for now. However, one can expect slight changes in the design and some new software features as well. Battery can be more in this one along with the Blood oxygen level monitoring feature. Needless to say, this will cost more than Apple Watch Series 5.
Apple iPad Air 4
Tipster Jon Prosser has mentioned in the past that iPad Air 4 will be launching in this event as well. Once again, not much is known about the tablet but then expect a natural bump in the camera, processor and battery specifications. The tablet is likely to stay small and light in design considering its the ‘Air' version. The iPad is also rumoured to feature a touchID built right on the power button on the top corner. There could also be an All-Display design like the iPad Pro models.
Apple iPad 8
Apple iPad 8 is also expected to show up in the virtual event by Apple. This might be catering to the ‘affordable' segment. However, the rumours around it has been confusing and there's not much clarity if this will arrive or not.
