YouTube Music is saving you time to search for that perfect playlist based on your mood, by introducing Mixes. Right now, there are found Mixes based on Chill, Energy, Focus and Workout. These auto-generated playlists act much like the ‘Discover' feature in Spotify and are said to reload and repopulate every Monday so you're not stuck with a single playlist for the rest of your lives.

Although YouTube has not publicly announced the rollout of mixes, some users found it on their YouTube Music apps and posted screenshots on Reddit. Also mentioned is that not everyone might be able to see this yet. But the fact that it is there in the app and is working perfectly, is an indication that soon others will see this as well.

YouTube seems to be directly targeting Spotify with such features. A few days ago the music streaming app was spotted with the ‘collaborate' feature, which has been there in Spotify. As spotted by 9to5Google, you might soon be able to collaborate with your friends and curate a single playlist. The feature spotted doesn't work yet and is not appearing for each and every one. However, the iconography, label and other tweaks strongly suggest that this Spotify-like feature is probably under tests right now.

While Spotify users have been enjoying this feature since quite some time, Google may use its smarts to reach Spotify's level in no time.
