In recent times, only RRR stands out as a movie which brought back the thrill of an ensemble cast and it became a huge hit. And now, probably a multi-starrer film nobody saw coming is here and already running in theaters. We are talking about GodFather, the Telugu-language political action thriller. The movie brings together legendary Telugu film actor Chiranjeevi and the megastar Bollywood actor Salman Khan under the same banner. And if you still haven't watched the movie, then don't worry. Directed by Mohan Raja, who specializes in fun action thrillers, the movie is a larger-than-life cinema experience that reminds you what entertaining films can be. The movie itself is an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. The principal photography of the film began in August 2021 and it was released on October 4, 2022.

The movie revolves around the character Brahma, played by Chiranjeevi, who is a mysterious man with significant political power. After the incumbent chief minister of the state passes away, a political power game begins between the chief minister's daughter Satya Priya, her husband Jai and her step-brother Brahma. The rest of the film follows the story of who among these two sides can gain power.

The popularity of the film can be assessed from its YouTube trailer, posted by Super Good Films. The trailer has received 19 million views, 425,000 likes and 25,898 comments and continues to rise even at the moment of writing this.

The film stars Chiranjeevi, Salman Khan, Nayanthara, Satya Dev in lead roles. After a successful theatrical run of the film, now it is all set for its OTT release. According to reports Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to the film for Rs. 57 crore.

As per an Instagram post made by Netflix, the film will stream starting November 19. Announcing the film, the official handle of Netflix wrote, “The megastar of Tollywood meets the megastar of Bollywood! #Godfather is coming to Netflix on the 19th of November”.
