Honor Play launching in India on August 6, will be Amazon exclusive
Honor Play will be a gaming-centric smartphone featuring the company’s new turbo GPU for stronger performance.
Bullish on its performance in India in the second quarter, Huawei's sub-brand Honor is set to launch gaming-centric 'Honor Play' smartphone in India on August 6.
The device, unveiled in China in June this year, will be an Amazon exclusive, said the listing on the e-commerce platform.
Honor Play is one of the first phones to feature the turbo GPU technology for gaming and overall performance. The smartphone is powered by in-house Kirin 970 processor accompanied by the new turbo GPU.
The company on July 24 launched it 'notch display' smartphone, Honor 9N in India.
Honor 9N starts at ₹11,999 for the base model with 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage. Honor 9N with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage is priced at ₹13,999, while the top model with 4GB RAM plus 128GB internal storage will retail at ₹17,999.
Honor 9N will be available starting July 31 exclusively via Flipkart and Honor's e-store.
With 188% growth, Honor was one of the fastest growing brand in India in the second quarter, registering a 3% market share at the fifth place in Q2 2018, said Counterpoint Research in its latest report.
