Social media can often be a hard place to exist in peace and a big part of the problem are internet ‘trolls'. Also known as online bullies. The problem gets worse when there is an IND vs PAK T20 match. These people deliberately try to offend, cause trouble or directly attack people by saying derogatory and provocative things. And Twitter is especially infamous for trolls among all other social media platforms. So, when Google CEO Sundar Pichai took to the microblogging platform to congratulate team India and share his happiness on the result of the IND vs PAK T20 World Cup match, it wasn't really a surprise that a Pakistani fan decided to ruin the mood. But Pichai turned the tables on the Pakistani troll as he had the perfect response that instantly won everyone's hearts.

Yesterday, October 24, Sundar Pichai took to Twitter to wish everyone Happy Diwali and to talk about the thrilling India vs Pakistan T20 match. He tweeted, “Happy Diwali! Hope everyone celebrating has a great time with your friends and family. I celebrated by watching the last three overs again today, what a game and performance #Diwali #TeamIndia #T20WC2022”. And while everyone wished him back and agreed with his tweet, some trolls were not happy.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai give a befitting reply to online troll

The tweet from Pichai came after the incredible run chase by the Indian team in the first T20 World Cup Super 12 game, where Virat Kohli scored 82 runs to give India its first win in the competition on the very last ball of the game. The game is already being considered as one of the best matches by many pundits. Kohli himself called it his best innings.

However, a troll did not like the tweet and decided to make his feelings known. A user by the name of Muhammad Shahzaib replied to the ‘last three overs' comment and tweeted, “you should watch 1st three overs”. He was referring to the poor start by team India where the team lost two quick wickets and registered only ten runs.

But shocking the troll and winning everyone else's heart, Pichai replied to him saying, “Did that too:) what a spell from Bhuvi and Arshdeep”. Pichai switched the context and reminded the troll about the first three overs by Indian bowlers which also gave two wickets including the golden duck of Babar Azam.

That reply now has more than 4K comments, 25.2K retweets and 139.5K likes.
