Mitron brings Atmanirbhar App to Google Play, lets you easily search other India-made apps

Atmanirbhar App is not an app store in itself. It only acts as a portal to discover other Indian apps on Google Play Store.

Mitron, one of the popular India-based video apps that launched earlier this year, is playing more on the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative by the Prime Minister, has launched some new ‘Atmanirbhar' apps. These can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The aim of this is too give users access to most India-based apps that can be used for services and need. The app also gives you recommendations on different categories. These include business, shopping, games, news, entertainment, social and more. Also, the Atmanirbhar apps are limited to Android devices.

“Our motto to make this app is to promote our Indian apps that help Indian customers know about Indian products and services and choose them based on their selection,” says the app description. “Our mission is to Justify the Mantra "Local For Vocal". In this way, every true Indian can make a small contribution to the nation to grow more.”

The apps shown inside Atmanirbhar App includes the ones made by local developers and the government as well. Some of them are IRCTC Rail Connect, JioTV, Aarogya Setu, Kaagaz Scanner, Narendra Modi app and BHIM. The app listing inside the Atmanirbhar App shows the app size and the number of people who have installed it. There is also a description about the app.

It has been reported that the app makers plan to bring as many as 500 apps on it by the end of this year. 

However, Atmanirbhar App is not an app store in itself. It only acts as a portal to discover other Indian apps. Tapping on the ‘Get app' button brings you to Google Play Store listing of that app, from where you can download it.
