Oppo on Friday launched a new A series smartphone in India. Oppo A5 features a notch display, and is priced at ₹14,990. The smartphone will be available starting today in offline stores as well as on online platforms.

"Along with advanced features like dual camera, super full screen and extensive battery, the 'A5' has been designed to enable consumers to capture every moment perfectly," Will Yang, Brand Director, OPPO India, said in a statement.

Oppo A5 specifications

Oppo A5 features a 6.2-inch HD IPS display, with Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor running under its hood. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. For photography, there's a 13-megapixel plus 2-megapixel dual-camera setup at the rear. Up front, it houses an 8-megapixel AI-enabled selfie camera.

Fuelling the smartphone is a 4,230mAh battery. Oppo A5 also sports features like smart lock, smart driving, full screen multitasking and music party. The smartphone lacks a fingerprint sensor which is replaced by face unlock for security.
