Paytm Payments Bank’s redressal mechanism for FASTag has helped 2.6 lakh users get refunds in 2020
The fast redressal mechanism’s automated dispute management process has helped identify incorrect deductions of toll charges and has helped raise claims immediately to reverse extra charges.
The Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) has helped almost 2.6 lakh FASTag users, who were incorrectly charged at toll plazas last year, get refunds. PPBL's fast redressal mechanism that has been set up has helped identify incorrect deductions and immediately raise claims to reverse the extra charges helping FASTag users out seamlessly.
Of the all the claims raised through this fast redressal mechanism, PPBL has won 82% of all dispute cases raised for incorrect toll deductions in 2020.
In case you were not aware, FASTag is used for automatic payment of toll charges and if your vehicle carries the sticker, you do not need to stop and pay at toll booths. While this whole system is very seamless, sometimes there are issues with systems and processes at toll plazas that result in more deduction than that's applicable.

FASTag users can use the dispute management process created by PPBL that audits all customer complaints, associated toll transactions and issues raised by the toll plazas. Aiming to make sure that users are not inconvenienced, PPBL has managed to pursue these disputes through multiple stages and have succeeded in getting refunds for 82% users.
Paytm Payments Bank is the top issuer and the largest acquiring bank under the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program. And the firm has ensured that PPBL FASTags can be purchased quickly by only providing the vehicle registration number along with a registration certificate.
PPBL customers also do not need to maintain any separate FASTag accounts and login credentials. Toll payments are auto-debited from the user's Paytm Wallet which can be recharged as needed and customers can monitor FASTags affixed to multiple vehicles and their related transactions on the Paytm app itself.
