A fake letter from James Bond actor Sean Connery to Apple founder Steve Jobs is back on social media following the actor's death on Saturday. Just to make it very clear, Connery never wrote a ‘mean' note to Jobs, the letter is a fake one created by humour site Scoopertino which usually posts satirical articles about Apple and that's going on at the Cupertino headquarters.

The typewritten letter dated 1998 has Connery expressing outrage over Jobs asking him to appear in an Apple commercial.

“I do not sell my soul for Apple or any other company. I have no interest in ‘changing the world' as you suggest,” the letter reads.

“You are a computer salesman, I am f*****g JAMES BOND!” the letter adds.

The internet being the internet, took the fake letter and ran with it and on Sunday it was all over the place, again.

Given, it does sound like something Connery might have written but the first giveaway of the letter being fake is the ‘007' watermark at the right corner of the letter. Connery had tried for years to break free of the ‘James Bond' name and by 1998 he had moved on to other roles.

And this is not the first time the letter has gone viral. As CNet reports, the letter had gone viral back in 2011 thanks to another Twiter user.

Good for Scoopertino though, the fake letter keeps resurfacing every now and then and goes viral every time.
