It was an interesting day in the world of technology today. On one hand, Vivo India revealed the launch date of its upcoming X60 series smartphones. On the other hand, Amazon announced Apple Days sale in India. In addition to that, Apple launched all-in-one web page with privacy labels.

Amazon announces Apple Days sale

Amazon today announced the Apple Days sale on its platform. This sale began on March 12 and will go on until March 17 during which time, the company is offering special deals and discounts on the purchase of various devices including the iPhone 12 series, iPad Mini and MacBook Pro among others. Apple does not want anyone to use Android phone: WhatsApp CEO

Speaking on the ‘Big Technology Podcast', WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart said that Apple was not in favour of people using Android phones. "I assume it's in Apple's interest to have everyone using an iPhone, I mean, obviously, it is. And you look at a place like the US, most people have an iPhone, and the messaging experience works better on iMessage if everyone else has an iPhone," Cathcart said.

Google Search now shows COVID-19 vaccine information in India

Google is helping millions by showing vaccine-related information in search and YouTube. The company is working with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation so that users can see up to date information about the vaccines and can reduce the spread of misinformation. 

Vivo X60 series to launch in India on March 25

Vivo today announced that it would launch the Vivo X60 series in India on March 25. In its invite, Vivo says that the series has been co-engineered with Zeiss. It also bears the tagline “Photography. Redefined,” which indicates that the company is planning to make major updates to the phone's camera setup.

Apple launches web page with privacy labels for its own apps

Apple has updated its privacy website with a new ‘Labels' section that brings in privacy labels for all of Apple's in-house apps in one place. This will make it easier for users to learn about how which Apple app handles user's personal data.
