Now that the WWDC craze has died down we're back to our regular tech news. There's still a lot that's happening as usual in the tech world. Twitter reported a data breach that affected its business users. We got to know about an iPhone 12 feature through the iOS 14 beta.

Sony launched two new wireless earbuds in India which are pretty affordable. Acer also launched a ton of products at its Next@Acer event. And then some good news for Facebook and Jio as CCI approved its deal.

Twitter data breach

Twitter warned its business users of a data breach that could have exposed their information. Twitter said that information like business users' email addresses, phone numbers and the last four digits of the credit card could have been exposed.

iOS 14-iPhone 12

iOS 14 developer beta is out and we're getting to know more of what's coming to iPhones later this year. It has also managed to reveal what could be a new feature on iPhone 12. Apple could increase support for frame rate from 60fps on the iPhone 12 series.

Sony earbuds

Sony has launched two new wireless earbuds in India. Sony WF-XB700 and WF-SP800N wireless earbuds are priced at ₹9,990 and ₹18,990 respectively. The WF-XB700 has Sony's in-house Extra Bass, IPX4 rating and 18 hours of battery life. The WF-SP800N comes with noise cancellation, wearing detection and up to 26 hours of battery life.

Acer's new products

Acer launched a bunch of new laptops, desktops, gaming laptops, and monitors. The new Acer products will go on sale in different markets from June onwards. Among these is the Acer Swift 5 (2020) which is powered by Intel's new 11th Gen Ice Lake chipset.

Facebook-Jio deal

Facebook-Jio deal was under the CCI's scanner but the regulator has now given the deal a clean chit. Facebook acquired a 9.99% stake in Jio Platforms with an investment of ₹43,574 crore. The acquisition will be done by Jaadhu Holdings LLC, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Facebook that it created earlier this year.
